For the past ten years the Altoona Academy of Tae Kwon-Do has supported the Children’s Miracle Network of Geisinger through a Kickathon each spring. This event has raised over $30,000 for the health care of local sick and injured children. We at CMN know that it is springtime when we see rows of people preparing to kick for hours to raise money for kids who are fighting for their lives as diseases such as cancer, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, kidney or liver attack their bodies. We know that the Altoona Academy of Tae Kwon-Do students are kicking with determination so that babies who are born too soon and weigh so little will get the special health care that they need to grow strong. The Altoona Academy of Tae Kwon-Do knows and teaches all of their participants the importance of caring for others. For this we are most grateful. On behalf of all of the local children you have helped over the years through this event, I thank you all. Warm regards, Nanci G. Hall, Telethon coordinator
